Kellie Martin is an American actress and filmmaker popularly known for her roles for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Also, Kellie is well-known as the main character in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin was the daughter of a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher began her professional career acting at the age of seven when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's kids was able to help Martin get a part in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". Martin began her professional acting career after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major parts in both the television and film industry. Martin has a background as an actor, as well as an accomplished photographer and dancer, has been working in the field for more than 20 years. Two-time mother, she is the national spokesperson for Lupus and has been informing people about the illness following the death of her sister from it at the age of 19.
